Toolsplorer is financed through affiliate partnerships. This page explains exactly what that means.
How it works
Outbound links to software vendors run through our /go/ redirect. Where we have an affiliate partnership, that link contains our partner ID. If you click such a link and later sign up or purchase, the vendor pays us a commission. Your price never changes — the commission comes out of the vendor’s marketing budget.
How you can recognize it
Affiliate links are marked in two ways: with a visible notice directly at the button (“Ad link”) and with an asterisk (*). Links to tools without an affiliate program carry no marking — they point to the vendor just the same.
What commissions do NOT influence
- Scores: the Toolsplorer Score is calculated from independent review sources. The scoring logic contains no affiliate variable.
- Rankings and listings: tools without any affiliate program are listed, scored, and recommended identically.
- Criticism: every tool page shows what users criticize and when NOT to use a tool — including for tools that pay commissions.
